The Analog Sound™ VT-805A is a flagship vintage amplifier that brings together classic design and high-quality craftsmanship.  The VT-805A uses a pair of 805 tubes for both the output and rectification stages, delivering pure Class A output of 20 watts per channel based on the Single-Ended-Triode (S.E.T.) design. 

Originally designed for amplifying vocal audio frequency, these 805 tubes offer outstanding clarity for audio amplification and excellent control over low frequencies.  Each VT-805A amplifier is handcrafted to meet strict audiophile standards, produced on a made-to-order basis.  Components are carefully selected from the top 1% of quality ratings and precisely matched between channels for optimal performance and balance.

This integrated tube amplifier is inspired by the vintage Western Electric 43A theatre amp, a design that reflects the experience and expertise of Line Magnetic Foshan’s design studio, established in the 1990s by the late founder Cai Zheng.  His legacy is continued by his son, Dawei Zheng, who now leads as Chief Designer at Analog Sound™.

Main Features

All hand-made with the finest ‘point-to-point’ wiring

3 phases of transformers – high voltage, secondary high voltage and low voltage all by separate transformers to minimize any cross-interference.

Consistency between output and rectifying tubes – both by 805 tubes to achieve the best sonic coherence

Primary and secondary high voltage transformers with Western Electric technology (RET179 and RET211G) to allow the abundancy of stabilized electric current supply to handle any music dynamics

Western Electric technology backed transformers, wires and oil capacitors are used throughout to provide the best extension at ultra-high and low frequencies.

Delayed safe start – turn on secondary high voltage first then primary high voltage kicks in after a few seconds

Two front VU meters – large top one for displaying output watts, the small bottom meter for biasing 805 output tubes

4x 805 hum adjustment pots on front panel

Hidden infrared “flashlight style” remote control to be pulled out straight from the front panel
