Angelic Sound’s first appearance at the StereoNet HiFi Show was truly unforgettable — an event filled with emotion, challenges, and genuine connection. The team left Melbourne with wonderful memories and immense pride in what was achieved over four vibrant days.

Overcoming the Unexpected

On Thursday night, with the clock ticking past 11:30pm, final preparations were underway in room 2200. Assembling the mighty 212 tubes onto the LM-212 Premium amp, testing performance, and installing the Room’s backwall banner had our team excited but exhausted. Earlier that day, a crucial delivery — containing the 212 tubes and backwall banner — had mysteriously gone missing despite confirmation from FedEx. Hours of searching by hotel staff yielded nothing, and as the pressure mounted, cancelling the showcase became a real fear.

At 10pm, the Pullman Hotel’s general manager, Manoj Ramisettre, stepped in after understanding the urgency. True to his promise, Manoj located our missing boxes an hour later — hidden at the bottom of another event’s pallet — and delivered them personally. The relief was overwhelming, and, with help from the hotel’s attentive staff, the system was finally assembled and tested late into the night.

The support from the Pullman Hotel team, especially Manoj, exemplified true hospitality and dedication. Security guards checked in, and Nick lent a hand with our banner installation, turning a stressful situation into a heartwarming display of teamwork.

Show Highlights and Praise

Reflecting on the days that followed, Angelic Sound’s demonstration quickly became a highlight of the show. The showcase featured the industry-leading Cen.Grand GLD1.0 music player and DSDAC1.0 DAC as our digital source, seamlessly feeding the celebrated Line Magnetic LM-212 Premium integrated amplifier. Paired with the vibrant orange Focal Sopra No 3 loudspeakers and connected with Tellurium cables, the system delivered a performance that captivated organizers, fellow exhibitors, and attendees alike. Countless visitors described our room as “I have goose bumps” & “the best sounding room in the entire show,” praising not only the emotional connection, system performance but also the thoughtful setup and engaging presentation. We were flattered, to say the least, considering there are many rooms filled with gear that were several times more expensive.

Building Connections

Beyond technical excellence, the show fostered meaningful discussions with fellow professionals and introduced us to innovative gear. The experience enriched our sense of community within the HiFi industry and inspired new business opportunities for Angelic Sound.
