StereoNET Highlights Room 1313 Among the Best Sounds of the Show

Following our last week’s Hi-Fi show recap, we’re delighted to share that StereoNET has published its full report on the 2026 Melbourne Hi-Fi & AV Expo, with Room 1313 receiving a particularly positive mention.

A record show

This year’s Melbourne Expo drew the biggest crowd in its 10-year history, and more than half of the visitors were attending a StereoNET show for the first time. It was a pleasure to welcome both newcomers and familiar faces to our room throughout the weekend.

What StereoNET said

StereoNET’s reviewer described our room as “delivering some of the best sound at the Show.”

Highlights from the report:

  • The room marked the return of Gauder Akustik to Australia, with the Elargo 200 in high-gloss rosewood as the centrepiece.

  • StereoNET noted that the Maxwell 909 and the Analog Sound AS-337N drove the Gauder Akustik Elargo 200 with ease, delivering impressive scale and deep, controlled bass despite the room’s modest dimensions.

  • The Cen.Grand GLD1.0 transport and DSDAC1.0  DAC, connected via Cen.Grand’s proprietary PoW interface, formed the digital front end of a system the reviewer praised for its “extraordinary air, resolution and inner detail”.

  • The Analog Sound AS-123 tube buffer, added during sessions, earned a mention for the extra warmth and depth it brought.

  • The Analog Sound AS-127N and AS-129P on display were noted for their striking design and finish.

It was especially rewarding to see the months of careful system preparation and tuning recognised by an experienced reviewer.
